Sowmya A. Hegde
Mentor in first-generation students and recovery
- 🇮🇳 Pune, Maharashtra, India
- Elmwood Community Trust
- Since 1989
- English, Malayalam
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 1,590 people through Elmwood Community Trust.
Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.
More about Sowmya
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Sowmya: A gift would go toward free mentoring sessions for people who can't pay.
