Souad El-Sayed
Jewelry artist in Heliopolis
- 🇪🇬 Heliopolis, Cairo, Egypt
- Lakeview Studio
- Since 1987
- English, Arabic
I work mostly in jewelry, sometimes oil painting. My first show was in 1987 at Lakeview Studio, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by the river near my house. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Souad
I've had 10 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.

What gifts mean to Souad: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
