Sophie Sarah Blanchard
Self-taught sculpture artist
- 🇨🇦 Toronto, Ontario, Canada
- Old Toronto Pottery
- 1996 to 2023
- English
I work mostly in sculpture, sometimes illustration. My first show was in 1996 at Old Toronto Pottery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by old photographs. I run most mornings.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Sophie
If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
Mediums
What gifts mean to Sophie: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
