Sophie P. Torres
Literature lecturer, 2002 to 2012
- 🇺🇸 Joliet, Illinois, United States
- Atlas State University
- 2002 to 2012
- English
I taught literature at Atlas State University from 2002 to 2012, and supervised 50 dissertations along the way.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Sophie
If you wrote a dissertation with me, I probably still have a copy on my shelf.
What gifts mean to Sophie: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
