I've spent 27 years as a lecturer in organic chemistry at Atlas Polytechnic in London. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk. It sounds small, but students remember small things.
More about Sophie
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Sophie: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
