For 24 years I was the environmental science teacher at Newcastle upon Tyne Boys' School. I taught first-year students and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I had 1,180 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Sophie
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
