Sophia N. Ellis
Youth athletics coach and mentor
- 🇺🇸 Lexington, Kentucky, United States
- 2012 to 2022
- English
I coached athletics at Holy Cross Boxing Gym from 2012 to 2022. Most of my players were between 10 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.

I still think about the cold winter when we all kept our coats on. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Salé.
