Sophia Hicks
Helping people break into teaching
- 🇺🇸 Bronx, New York, United States
- Lincoln Association
- Since 1987
- English
For 39 years I've mentored people in teaching and public speaking. Mostly it's coffee, honest feedback and a lot of listening.
I don't give advice so much as ask questions until the answer shows up. I watch every football match going.
More about Sophia
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Sophia: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
