I taught geography at St. Joseph's Academy in Los Angeles from 2012 to 2025. Most days I taught the youngest children, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 730 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Soo-ah
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Soo-ah: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
