For 22 years I was the computer science teacher at Porto Alegre Middle School. I taught the final-year class and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I'm learning the guitar. Inside it, I never once raised my voice.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Sônia
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Sônia: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
