I spent 22 years as a lecturer in public health at Rio de Janeiro College in Rio de Janeiro. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more. Former students now work as a nurse and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.

What gifts mean to Sônia: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
