For 33 years I ran the chess program at Atlas Football Club in Santos. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Sônia
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Sônia: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
