For ten years I ran the gymnastics program at Rio de Janeiro Community Club in Rio de Janeiro. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Sônia
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Sônia: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
