Sơn Minh Hoang

Woodcarving artist in Hồ Chí Minh City

🇻🇳 Hồ Chí Minh City, Hồ Chí Minh City, Vietnam
Hồ Chí Minh City Gallery
Since 1998
English, Vietnamese

I work mostly in woodcarving, sometimes sculpture. My first show was in 1998 at Hồ Chí Minh City Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog. I also teach a weekly class at Hồ Chí Minh City Gallery, which keeps me honest. Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

More about Sơn

If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.

Mediums

What gifts mean to Sơn: A gift would go toward materials for my next series.
