Sơn Đạt Mai
Teacher at Eastgate Primary School, loves French

I teach French at Eastgate Primary School in Hanoi since 1986. Most days I teach the final-year class, and I learn every name in the first week.
Over the years I've had 840 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Sơn
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Sơn: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

I'm a chef now and I honestly think it started in your classroom. Greetings from Varanasi.

you taught me French in 2014 at Eastgate Primary School. I still remember that terrible school play.
