Somsak Ake Yodrak
Master of pottery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇹🇭 Bang Khen, Bangkok, Thailand
- Old Bang Khen Shop
- Since 1997
- English, Thai
My trade is pottery. I opened my own shop in 1997 in Bang Khen and I'm still there most mornings.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 24 years later for another job.
More about Somsak
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Somsak: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
