Somchai F Orawan Kaewkla
Teacher at Maple Ridge Boys' School, loves history

For eleven years I was the history teacher at Maple Ridge Boys' School. I taught the final-year class and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. Inside it, I played music while people worked.
More about Somchai
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Somchai: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
