Solomon Asante
Thatching, done properly
- 🇬🇭 Tema, Greater Accra, Ghana
- Pioneer Repairs
- 1995 to 2013
- English, Twi
I've worked in thatching from 1995 to 2013. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 490 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 19 years later for another job.
More about Solomon
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Solomon: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
