I've worked in masonry since 1990. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 2,020 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Soledad
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
