For 36 years I was the biology teacher at Bakersfield Girls' School. I taught Grade 11 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I ran the gardening club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I garden badly but happily.
I'm still learning every day.
What gifts mean to Soledad: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
