Sohel Kamrul Akter

Painter, potter and teacher at Old Stonebridge Pottery

  • 🇬🇧 Newport, Wales, United Kingdom
  • Old Stonebridge Pottery
  • 1978 to 1999
  • English, Bengali
I'm a embroidery artist based in Newport. I've been making things from 1978 to 1999 and I still get excited when a new batch of materials arrives. Most of my work is inspired by the people on my bus route. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.

More about Sohel

I've had 14 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
