Sofía K. Ibarra
Master of bicycle repair, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇸 Miami, Florida, United States
- Riverside Workshop
- Since 1993
- English
I've worked in bicycle repair since 1993. I learned from my aunt and passed what I could on to 1,750 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I carry a notebook everywhere.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Sofía: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
