I've coached softball at Hubballi Boxing Gym since 1983. Most of my players were between 11 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.

Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

I still think about the day we all got the giggles in assembly. Best summer of my life! Greetings from Lethbridge.
