Smit N. Deshpande

Self-taught street art artist

  • 🇮🇳 Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
  • Mumbai Art Collective
  • Since 1981
  • English, Marathi
I work mostly in street art, sometimes jewelry. My first show was in 1981 at Mumbai Art Collective, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog. Most of my work is inspired by markets and street scenes. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.

More about Smit

I've had 4 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
