Slamet Wawan Santoso
Master of pottery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇮🇩 Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia
- Jakarta Workshop
- Since 1993
- English, Indonesian
My trade is pottery. I opened my own shop in 1993 in Jakarta and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I try to remember everyone's name.
What gifts mean to Slamet: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
