I taught special education at Sunrise Public School in Jakarta Selatan from 1993 to 2009. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I played music while people worked.
Over the years I had 450 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Slamet
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Slamet: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
