For 40 years I've run the gymnastics program at Cape Town Crescent Sports Club in Cape Town. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
