I've spent 32 years as a lecturer in materials science at Highland College in Istanbul. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I garden badly but happily.
I'm still learning every day.
