Simiyu Omondi Bakari
Teacher at Our Lady of Peace High School, loves special education
- 🇺🇬 Jinja, Eastern Region, Uganda
- Our Lady of Peace High School
- Since 2018
- English, French
I teach special education at Our Lady of Peace High School in Jinja since 2018. Most days I teach primary school children, and I never turn anyone away.
Over the years I've had 180 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Simiyu
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

You taught me special education in 2020 at Our Lady of Peace High School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard! Thank you again.
