I coached table tennis at St. Anne's Boxing Gym from 1990 to 2005. Most of my players were between 10 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
