I've coached softball at Mesa Swimming Club since 2000. Most of my players were between 8 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
More about Silvia
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Silvia: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
