Silas Hughes
Physics and geography teacher, Jacksonville
- 🇺🇸 Jacksonville, Florida, United States
- Jacksonville Girls' School
- Since 2013
- English
For 13 years I have been the physics teacher at Jacksonville Girls' School. I teach Grade 11 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've run the choir after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I run most mornings.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Silas
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Silas: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
