I coached athletics at San Diego Boxing Gym from 2018 to 2025. Most of my players were between 12 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learned every name in the first week.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
What gifts mean to Silas: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.

I still think about the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand. Best summer of my life! Greetings from Las Cruces.
