Sibusiso G. Dlamini
Welding for 22 years in Sandton
- 🇿🇦 Sandton, Gauteng, South Africa
- The Sandton Workshop
- 1987 to 2009
- English, Afrikaans
I've worked in welding from 1987 to 2009. I learned from my uncle and passed what I could on to 1,320 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Sibusiso: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
