Shuvo Bappy Islam
Master of pottery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇧🇩 Gazipur, Dhaka, Bangladesh
- Good Shepherd Shop
- Since 1995
- English, Bengali
I've worked in pottery since 1995. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 780 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Shuvo: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
