Shivam R. Grewal
Coached chess for 31 years in Howrah
- 🇮🇳 Howrah, West Bengal, India
- Since 1995
- English, Hindi
I've coached chess at Howrah Swimming Club since 1995. Most of my players were between 8 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I fix old bicycles.
More about Shivam
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Shivam: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.

You coached me in 1998. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Yonkers.
