My subject is materials science, and for 27 years I get to share it with undergraduates at Hope State University.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I garden badly but happily.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Shivam
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
What gifts mean to Shivam: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
