I teach music at Madurai Primary School in Madurai since 1982. Most days I teach Grade 6, and I never raise my voice.
Over the years I've had 1,800 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Shivam
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the old fort, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Shivam: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

You taught me music in 2022 at Madurai Primary School. I still remember the quiz night we nearly won Greetings from Lagos.

You taught me music in 1998 at Madurai Primary School. I still remember the end-of-term party.
