I taught home economics at Birmingham Public School in Birmingham from 1988 to 2003. Most days I taught Year 9, and I answered every email, even at midnight.
I ran the gardening club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I watch every football match going.
More about Shirley
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the farm, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
