Shirin Sultana Howlader

Self-taught sculpture artist

  • 🇮🇳 Pune, Maharashtra, India
  • Mount Pleasant Art Collective
  • Since 2005
  • English, Bengali
I work mostly in sculpture, sometimes printmaking. My first show was in 2005 at Mount Pleasant Art Collective, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog. Most of my work is inspired by the changing seasons. I walk the dog by the river.

More about Shirin

If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.

What gifts mean to Shirin: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
