Shireen T. Jacobs
25 years teaching environmental science in Soweto
- 🇿🇦 Soweto, Gauteng, South Africa
- 1992 to 2000
- English, Zulu
For eight years I was the environmental science teacher at Lotus Secondary School. I taught first-year students and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I had 390 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
More about Shireen
If you were in my first-year students class, you probably remember the day we all got the giggles in assembly.

What gifts mean to Shireen: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
