Shinji Hiroto Matsumoto

Painter, potter and teacher at Phoenix Art Collective

  • 🇯🇵 Osaka, Osaka, Japan
  • Phoenix Art Collective
  • Since 1997
  • Japanese
I got into calligraphy as a hobby and somewhere along the way it became the thing I do every day. I also teach a weekly class at Phoenix Art Collective, which keeps me honest.

More about Shinji

I've had 13 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.

What gifts mean to Shinji: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
