I coached baseball at Phoenix Youth Club from 1985 to 1995. Most of my players were between 11 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
