Shilpa T. Gill
Sitar player and teacher in Mumbai
- 🇮🇳 Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
- Bamboo Quartet
- 1981 to 1999
- English, Hindi
I play sitar and songwriting. I started in 1981 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 6 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I run most mornings.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.
More about Shilpa
I wrote my first song when I was 20. It was terrible and I still love it.

What gifts mean to Shilpa: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
