I've volunteered with Silverlake Community Kitchen since 1984. I started on a Saturday morning "just to help out" and never left.
I'm not an expert in anything, I just show up. I walk the dog by the river.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Shilpa
We run on goodwill and a very old kettle.
What gifts mean to Shilpa: A gift would go toward supplies for our weekly sessions.
