Shelly-Ann Hylton
15 years teaching design and technology in Kingston
- 🇯🇲 Kingston, Kingston, Jamaica
- Northside Grammar School
- 1986 to 2003
- English
I taught design and technology and religious studies at Northside Grammar School, Kingston. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 340 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Shelly-Ann
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the capital, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
