I taught history at Manukau Academy in Manukau from 1986 to 2007. Most days I taught teenagers, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
What gifts mean to Shawn: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
