I taught economics at Newcastle upon Tyne College from 2006 to 2022, and supervised 46 dissertations along the way.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I sing in a choir.
What gifts mean to Sharmin: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
