Sharmin Fatema Kabir
Master of tiling, now teaching apprentices
- 🇧🇩 Dhaka, Dhaka, Bangladesh
- Since 1990
- English, Bengali
I've worked in tiling since 1990. I learned from my older brother and passed what I could on to 650 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 24 years later for another job.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
What gifts mean to Sharmin: Any gift will help me keep the workshop open for evening lessons.
