Sharmin Bithi Parvez
Teacher at Dhaka Middle School, loves special education

For 41 years I have been the special education teacher at Dhaka Middle School. I teach Year 7 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Sharmin
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Sharmin: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

You taught me special education in 1988 at Dhaka Middle School. I still remember the rainy sports day. Truly.
